After Wednesday night's debate debacle Arizona Governor Jan Brewer-Angle-Palin has decided she's not going to make that mistake again. She's taking her message to the people of Arizona "in a different venue" (presumably one where they don't ask questions, or only ask the ones Brewer wants to answer). Besides, she only did the first one for the money. From the Arizona Daily Star:
"Incumbent Republican Jan Brewer said Thursday she has no intention of participating in any more events with Democrat Terry Goddard. She said the only reason she debated him on Wednesday is she had to to qualify for more than $1.7 million in public funds for her campaign.
"I certainly will take my message in a different venue out to the people of Arizona," she said.

Brewer conceded that her performance in Wednesday's debate, and her refusal to answer a question from reporters afterward, was not well-handled [Ya think?]. That includes an opening statement when she lost her train of thought and went silent, and walking away after the event rather than answering questions about her prior statements about headless bodies in the desert.
Brewer blamed part of her post-debate activities on her gaffe in her opening statement. The governor also said she presumed reporters would want to talk to her about some of the issues raised during the hour-long, televised debate.
"All you guys were doing and talking were beheadings, beheadings, beheadings," the governor said. "That is something that has stuck with you all for so long, and I just felt we needed to move on."
Brewer insisted later that she has been misquoted [about the location of the headless bodies]. "I never said 'Arizona,' and it's unfortunate that it was construed as 'Arizona.' "

I guess it was "construed as Arizona" because you said "our law enforcement agencies have found bodies in the desert." I don't speak fluent Tea Party, but I would assume "our" means this side of the border, Gov.

Loved your post, I think you made some very good points.
The only way she will get voted in is, if people keep voting for their party instead of the person.
I hope the Republicans take a long look at her and vote for the one who would be the best choice.
I personally don't understand why anyone would vote for her.
I am not a Rep or a Dem I don't stand behind anyone's party. If I thought she was the better person I would vote for her.

In the last four months Jan Brewer has been caught lying, three times and counting.
The comments made on June 16, 2010, and June 27, 2010, clearly indicates that the Brewer says that immigrants are beheading people in the United States desert. She first ran away from the question and the press when confronted with the question. She finally when to FOX/ FAKE News to recant her lie.
When Brewer was confronted with the fact the two of her top Advisors (Paul Senseman, Chuck Coughlin) are lobbyist for “Private Prisons” giant CCA she first ran away from the question and the press.
In an attempt to gain sympathy, she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (which ended 1945) but of course we find out the truth that her father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955. Do you see a trend here?
Brewer signed into law SB 1070 Bill (Did she even read it?), lied about the crime rates in AZ (even Janet Napolitano knows that all crimes rates went down), and now we find out that she is in the pockets of PRIVATE PRISONS who stand to benefit with the increase Federal jailing, and thus they will pay her back, I wonder if it has to do anything about the fact that her son was transferred to a brand new prison, he was convicted for rape and sexual assault, I guess the fruit does not fall far the tree.

I don't have a passport and I never planned to carry my birth certificate around in this State.
Even though my eyes are blue, I could be from Ireland or Canada. Can you imagine telling people and businesses from other States they need to bring an ID to show they are an American to visit or to start a business here?
All it takes is securing the border and keeping a full staff of police working to keep the peace, not this ID profiling law.
Thank goodness, that Judge had enough sense to put some of it on hold. This bill is so confusing I have no idea anymore what is in this law and what is not.
We also have Sheriff Joe. He is trouble with the Feds. Maybe Jane and Joe both need to retire?
Jan Brewer got into office pretty much the same way Pretty Boy Ricky Perry did....the previous occupant moved out.

Even a dumbass should have know that she was going to be asked about the "beheadings" statement and been prepared for it. Her opening statement sounded like a girl in middle school running for cheerleader, complete with giggles when her brain froze. Too bad they didn't question her about her ties to the private prisons in AZ. Since illegal immigration and crime in AZ has been going down for three years, it is evident that the immigration bill was a smokescreen by the Regressives to deflect the voters' attention away from the sorry financial condition of the state.
I can only assume this will decrease the odds that Perry will actually show up to the debate.
