Sharron Angle, the gift that keeps on giving. The well of stupid that never runs dry. From an interview with Action News in Las Vegas on the subject of "Obamacare":
"I think we get confused a little bit. Our healthcare system is the best in the world. There's nothing wrong with our healthcare system. Our doctors are the best," says Angle.
"But how many people get access to the best healthcare in the world," asks Action News reporter Marco Villarreal.
"The access is not what is being denied. It is the cost that has become prohibitive and that's what we need to address," she answers.Uh, Sharron. Access doesn't do much good if I can't afford what's accessible. I have access to the Mercedes dealership, but that minor detail of the cost is why I'm driving a Ford.

Well, I was watching her on TV the other day and her eyes don't seem to track properly. Maybe that accounts for it.

My wife is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and does she have stories. The wife of the doctor she works for has a masters degree in pathology but spends all day every day haggling with insurance companies.
The system is serioously broken; I have personal examples and you probably do too. Yet people like Angle and the GOP are still trying to float this myth that everything is all right. The right wing has fallen off and both engines on the left side are on fire but we're cruising along just fine.

What good is the best health care in the world if nobody but the rich can afford it?
I recently saw for myself how fucked up our health care system is. My doctor prescribed an unnecessary procedure to essentially get rid of me. He knew I had no insurance and will probably need an operation. His decision? Keep proscribing unnecessary testing to bankrupt me so I would go away.
The U.S. health care system is a scam. Designed to bilk people out of money.
FYI - Did everyone know that there are TWO different prices to health care? One that cost less if you are paying out of pocket, and one that cost more if you have insurance. The difference was 40-60 percent cheaper if paying out of pocket. THIS is the problem with health care. Doctors and insurance companies over charging for stuff they can clearly charge less for...
