Karl Rove: Bush "Never Blamed His Predecessor," It's "Not His Style"

In news from the Republican Bizarro World, Karl Rove told Neil Cavuto and Fox News viewers that George Bush never blamed Bill Clinton for anything. Bush cowboyed up and took responsibility---because blaming his predecessor would have "poisoned the political atmosphere," and besides,  it's just "not his style." (If you can't stomach 3:16 of Karl Rove jump ahead to around 2:10 of the clip).

Dave Neiwert at Crooks and Liars has some instances that must have slipped Rove's mind:

"...Bush loooved to blame Bill Clinton for just about everything:

In 2002, he blamed Clinton for the recession.

Also in 2002, for the mess in the Middle East.

In 2004, for manufacturing job losses.

Also in 2004, for a shortage of flu vaccine.

In 2005, for "running from terrorists" and generally causing 9/11.

In 2006, for Bush's own failures in containing North Korea.

In 2008, for the soaring deficit."

Looks like Dubya had a few lapses in "style" along the way.

Real problem is these morons believe their own lies. They literally make stuff up as they go along, and totally believe their own bullshit...

yep, we're all related somewhere, but the thing about this stuff on the Prez just proves how far off the mark the silly 'birthers' are, which apparently account for about 40% (really) of the Regressive Party.

this type stuff shows he's not only as American as they, because of his mother's side of the family, but that he's actually a lot more authentic than a lot of people criticizing him.

point being that since he has a common ancestor with Cheney in Maryland, and a Mayflower ancestor in common with Bush 41 and 43, that the birthers need to prove where THEY were born before they should question Obama - we know a lot more about him than we do about the silly questioners.

don't imagine Good-hair will be anywhere close; probably should be getting his retirement digs in College Station ready.

would be sorta nice if a ranching and cattle-men's outfit could do it, or someone where there's a head-nod to how many cowboys in our history were/are of color.

if they're smart, one of the fund-raisers will be a BBQ anyway, so every guy there will be wearing a hat also !

OMG, someone please print that out that Pres. Obama is related to George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush. Please.Please. Please.

I want to see some wingnuts' heads exploding! ;-)

Yeah, Bush never blamed his predecessor. Except when he did.

Poor Rove. He's told so many lies, I know he believes them now. Must suck to be him.

What did Bush have to blame anybody for? Other than NAFTA, which he favored. Or maybe Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Well, he needed as many military members as possible to fight for the oil fields. He came in with a surplus and had fun draining the US Treasury.

You know that actually is kind of surprising, Does that seem strange that he would be related to SIX presidents or is everybody related to everybody else if you go back far enough...bloodlines are pretty important in some circles, especially when it comes to genetic susceptibility.

Think Perry will make Obama an honorary Texan?

A nice alternative:

"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?
— The Mad Hatter"

the POTUS will be in Texas for fund-raisers next week, and considering his relationships to Wild Bill Hickock, Charles Goodnight, Harry Truman and Robert E. Lee:

ol' Karl might want to set the record straight; guess Rove is getting older and the mind is starting to lose its grip :)

someone in Texas is gonna give Obama a Stetson, right; he shares a Great grandfather with Charles Goodnight, and is a cousin to Robert E. Lee !

"Bizarro World" describes it perfectly.
