Three in a little over a week, and counting:
"Federal officials are investigating a fire that started overnight at the site of a new Islamic center in a Nashville suburb.
Ben Goodwin of the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department confirmed to CBS Affiliate WTVF that the fire, which burned construction equipment at the future site of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, is being ruled as arson.
Special Agent Andy Anderson of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told CBS News that the fire destroyed one piece of construction equipment and damaged three others. Gas was poured over the equipment to start the fire, Anderson said.
The ATF, FBI and Rutherford County Sheriff's Office are conducting a joint investigation into the fire, Anderson said."
Some reaction from the locals:
"Opponents of a new Islamic center say they believe the mosque will be more than a place of prayer; they are afraid the 15-acre site that was once farmland will be turned into a terrorist training ground for Muslim militants bent on overthrowing the U.S. government.
"They are not a religion. They are a political, militaristic group," Bob Shelton, a 76-year-old retiree who lives in the area, told The Associated Press."No mosque in Murfreesboro. I don't want it. I don't want them here," Evy Summers said to WTVF. "Go start their own country overseas somewhere. This is a Christian country. It was based on Christianity."
"If you launch a nationwide, anti-Islamic campaign in Lower Manhattan based on the toxic premise that Muslims generally are responsible for 9/11...this is the inevitable, and obviously dangerous, outcome."
The only question is when and where, not if, it will next surface.

yes, eljefe, I was always troubled by the decision some years back to throw up on the inter-net a complete list of county voters with their exact birth date (including year) and all people registered at an address. not all counties in the state did this.
making records public (meaning available for examination/verification at the court-house) is one thing but no one ever gave the county permission to publish ALL that type info for ALL the voter house-holds in the county, accessible by anyone anywhere, be it Ukraine, Nigeria, China, Pakistan, Sudan, India, or Chad seemed to be an unwarranted security risk and invasion of privacy.
it was always of interest to me to know how many corporations had key-man coverage and kidnap policies on individuals whose residence locations and years of work and effort and protection were all turned to, um -dust- through the willy-nilly publication of such private info without permission having been sought in advance.
Just suddenly, one day, without notice it was out there on ' the nets ', apparently in an effort to provide data for poll-watchers since it occurred fairly close to an election.
wonder if anyone ever had identity-theft problems therefrom ? wonder how many people never knew the info had been thrown out there for anyone to grab without even registering ? wonder what was down-loaded, when and where over the several years the policy persisted and what happened to all that data on 1.5 million county voters ?
was there ever even a record of who accessed what at the site paid for by county tax-payers, what was down-loaded, and when ?
just wondering-
Truthstretcher:
Of course, that's bullshit, and you know it. Actually the case is being turned over to the Justice Department, requesting that prosecutors investigate Vasquez for illegally disclosing confidential voter information to a radical conservative voter suppression group. You are aware that the Help America Vote Act requires voter registration organizations to turn in ALL applications, correct? You also know that public officials are bound by law to keep personal information confidential, correct? Looks like you're pointing at the wrong party, per usual.
Burning up all the voting machines certainly makes the GOP look awfully desperate to hang on to power.
This country is heading down a very scary path. I can only imagine what other countries think of us as a whole. History is repeating itself in a very disturbing fashion right in front of our children. Thank you.
It is odd that the voter fraud story broke not even 24 hours before the fire??? 25 thousand new voter registration cards and only 7 thousand were legit.... case turned over to the DA, then an fire at the warehouse storing the voting machines to top it off.
The fires at this mosque site is a shame, I hope the find the people responsible and the get their justice.
Yes, that fire that destroyed all the voting machines is very suspicious.
Just WHO doesn't want the people to vote?
Fascism will come wrapped in the American flag and singing The Star Spangled Banner. We saw it at Brother Glenn's Traveling Sideshow and Snake Oil Presentation yesterday.
Be afraid. Be very afraid. Hitler started out just like this....
arson in Tenn. is to be condemned, but am more concerned about mysterious 4 a.m. Harris County fires that destroy all the voting machines of the 4th largest city in the nation:

the vote is the most sacred exercise of democracy.
I meant "very". My bad.
"This is a Christian country."
Yes, how every Christian of the arsonists.
