AFA Spokesman: No Mosques Anywhere...Except Under Certain Conditions

Bryan Fischer is a nut. Capital N, capital U, capital T, NUT. For those not familiar with Mr. Fischer and his work, he's the director of issues analysis for the American White Straight Christian Family No Others Need Apply Association of Racists, Xenophobes, Homophobes, Religious Bigots and Other Assorted Screwballs and Lunatics---American Family Association for short.

A couple of examples. Fischer from April of this year:

"Bottom line: you want to know who's now running the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy and the Marines and calling the shots where it counts? Fundamentalist Muslims and homosexual activists."

From May:

"...Hitler recruited around him homosexuals to make up his Stormtroopers, they were his enforcers, they were his thugs. And Hitler discovered that he could not get straight soldiers to be savage and brutal and vicious enough to carry out his orders, but that homosexual solders basically had no limits and the savagery and brutality they were willing to inflict on whomever Hitler sent them after. So he surrounded himself, virtually all of the Stormtroopers, the Brownshirts, were male homosexuals."

Fischer is also slated to be a featured speaker at the Value Voters Summit in September-- a gathering of the Who's Who in the world of Wingnuttia. An esteemed group that includes Michele Bachmann, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, Tony Perkins, and in a strange twist of irony for an association that has "Protect Marriage" at the top of its to-do list, Newt Gingrich. But I digress, back to Fischer. Here's his latest:

"Permits should not be granted to build even one more mosque in the United States of America, let alone the monstrosity planned for Ground Zero. This is for one simple reason: each Islamic mosque is dedicated to the overthrow of the American government.

Each one is a potential jihadist recruitment and training center, and determined to implement the "Grand Jihad" of which Andy McCarthy has written.

Here is the strategy, in their own words, in the words of "An Explanatory Memorandum" circulated by the Muslim Brotherhood in 1991 which outlines "the General Strategic Goal" for the Islamic movement "in North America."

Read it and shudder:

Muslims "must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions...It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny..."

A little more on the Muslim Brotherhood:

"...the Muslim Brotherhood is an extremist Sunni transnational organization that might very well be planning for world domination. Of course, they are about as likely to achieve this goal as Pinkie and the Brain."

More Fischer:

"Because of this subversive ideology, Muslims cannot claim religious freedom protections under the First Amendment. They are currently using First Amendment freedoms to make plans to destroy the First Amendment altogether. There is no such thing as freedom of religion in Islam, and it is sheer and utter folly for Americans to delude themselves into thinking otherwise."

And if Fischer and his fellow whackjobs had their way there would be no such thing as freedom of religion in America either. But Mr. Fischer is a reasonable man. He's willing to make allowances for mosques to be built under cretin conditions. Oops, Freudian slip. Make that "certain" conditions:

"If a mosque was willing to publicly renounce the Koran and its 109 verses that call for the death of infidels, renounce Allah and his messenger Mohammed, publicly condemn Osama bin Laden, Hamas, and Abdelbaset al Megrahi (the Lockerbie bomber), maybe then they could be allowed to build their buildings."

Why Mr. Fischer, I think that's mighty white of you.
