Tim LaHaye: Obama "Bringing Us Closer to the Apocalypse"

From the Huffington Post:

"Evangelical Christian minister Tim LaHaye says that the policy initiatives put forth by the Obama administration are bringing the country "closer to the apocalypse."

LaHaye issued the dire warning in an appearance this week on Mike Huckabee's talk show on Fox News..."Our present president doesn't seem to get it," LaHaye explained. "He doesn't understand that some of the things he's introducing that many of us call 'raw socialism' -- it's a different name, but it's essentially government control and government domination of everything."

The evangelical voice said of the political platform maintained by the Obama administration, "It's going to work against our country and bringing us closer to the apocalypse."

Mr. LaHaye is mistaken. A newly-discovered, ancient manuscript has recently come into my possession that foretells the actual sign of the end of the world. It reads as follows:

"And these shall be the signs when thou shalt knowest that the end of the world is near.

A child shall be born on an Island in the midst of the Great Ocean (allegedly). He shall grow in wisdom and in stature in the city on the shores of the Lake that is called Michigan where he shall organizeth the community in which he dwelleth.

He shall achieve a great and miraculous victory against the lioness of the tribe of Clinton, and shall ascend to the throne which hath previously been ordained to be the sole dominion of those of the Caucus region.

This shall cause much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth among the Caucasians, and shall bringeth forth many false prophets from under every rock and low place who professeth to be followers of Christ but acteth not in accordance with his teachings.

And the false prophets and hypocrites shall prophecy that the ascension of the child from the Island in the midst of the Great Ocean (allegedly) to the throne previously held by the Caucasians is the sign of the apocalypse. But the end of the age is not yet nigh.

There shall arise a woman from the North Country. She shall be dim of wit yet big of mouth, and she shall say many strange and confounding things and shall give much refudiation to many. When this woman from the North Country ascendeth to the throne, then thou shalt surely know that the end of the world has come.

So it is written, so it shall be."

Tim Lahaye, what a goof ball. He was at one time a good bible teacher but money, fame and fortune have snared him to the degree that he speaks foolish.

Wait a second. I thought that the whole point of these people, trying to breed the perfect red heifer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Heifer in Israel, that can be sacrificed to bring about the building of the 3rd Temple http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_Institute, was *WAS to bring about the apocalypse which of course brings about the second coming. Isn't that the whole idea of dumping money into Israel and screwing up any efforts of peace in the Middle East, is so that the battle of Meguiddo can happen? You know, Armageddon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armageddon?

So shouldn't they {Le Haye & Co} be trying make sure that Obama is in office, but also that he implant us all with RIFD chips http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_of_the_Beast#Interpretations, and force us all to have National IDs under the one world government United Nations New World Order?

Those guys really need to make up our minds already.

Beautifully said!

VERY well said!

a very amen to that...

I was a stranger, you didn't invite me into your home, you beat me and made me live in tents under the hot Arizona sun.. I was naked, and you didn't give me clothing. I was sick and you fought healthcare reform in prison because I had dark skin. You fought every kind of change that would help people and advocated for every corporation that oppressed the needy.

Then the TEA Party Patriots will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?'

"And he will answer, 'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.'

All the comments: yeh, what they said!
From the left we have a daughters wedding today.
From the right....we have guessing over who's the baby daddy.

Id say the right is the 'a-pop-calypse'.

Did anyone notice LaHaye's nictitating membrane. One side says that all the good people will disappear, the other side says all the bad people will disappear...That means nobody will be left but the reptiles. :O)

LaHaye & Huckabee: Charlatans in their prime!

Lol. Nicely done, Des.

"Conservative" Evangelicals Just Do NOT Understand!Obama IS Doing GOD`s Will. That`s Why He Was Elected Against All Odds.Read Matthew Ch 25 Tim,About Helping the Less Fortunate! And That Includes Government!!!!

Let's see: trying to help the poor, unemployed, disenfranchised and attempting to force the selfish to share will bring this country to the end. Will the rest of the world remain? Where was he when the moneygrabbers were starting 2 simultaneous wars? Anybody in their right mind would have figured that would be an easy way to financial apocalypse. There are too many crazy, psycho talkers here.

The father's name was Levi; makes it kind of biblical.

God used a talking ass in the Old Testament. McCain had one in his campaign.

Amen, Brother Des.

fear and greed; or book sales.

Des,

You have some talent for parody. :-)

Freeport, you hit the nail on the head! Every. single. Democratic. president. was the beginning of the end. Until the naysayers needed help -- unfair employer, buying a house, tainted food, no food, etc....

These "religious" whackjobs such as LaHaye seemingly WANT to bring the world to an end. You know they want things to fail so they can bring in their ideal world....a theocracy....where THEY rule and they can tell the people what to do, how to think, how to worship. And probably put to death those non-believers.

The religious right is neither. And sometimes I truly wonder why the hell I continue to go to church. I believe in God...but some of his "followers" scare the shit out of me.

Obama "Bringing Us Closer to the Apocalypse"...as was allegedly e-v-e-r-y s-i-n-g-l-e Democrat President before him (but never did)...

I still can't imagine what would have been LaHaye's outcry had it been one of Omaba's daughters getting pregnant as a teenager during the campain...
