The Daily Hurricane has posted several pieces about the racism oft displayed (and later denied) at tea parties. We've heard conservatives say time and time again that "it isn't about race, it's about taking back our country!" and blah, blah, blah. I'll present to you, without further comment, this photograph obtained by the Washington Independent of Dale Robertson, self-proclaimed founder of the tea parties and operator of teaparty.org on February 27, 2009, in our very own stomping ground right here in Houston. Yeah, it's not about race.

Someone needs to tell josh parker this very photo is still on the houston tea party website before he claims to have denounced it and kicked the dude out.

It was toward the bottom of the article on Washington Independent as shown:
Update: Josh Parker of the Houston Tea Party Society tells me that Robertson was booted out of the event for this sign.
Shortstuff, I'd like to see that to update the blog - where did you find that statement from the Tea Party? Can you please point me in that direction? :)
Hmmm, seems like the typical right-winger to me. What is the problem?
I notice the tea party group says this moron was booted out because of the sign.
Does this mean that they have an inkling of how stupid and racist they are appearing to the rest of the world?
Don't hold your breath.
no i think the tea party has a few closet treehuggin' recyclers:)
I rather like Cracker and don't take offense to it at all. It's not the equivalent of the n word which has a horrible legacy of hatred and violence attached to it. I don't mind Gringo either :)
The ar application isn't offensive I suppose. Go up to him and suggest that crackar is not offensive but cracker is. Obviously, I'm joking if you can't tell.
Sparkie and Black Shards must be so proud.
Did anybody else notice the racial epithet is on a different piece of poster board that appears to have been applied over something else? Was that his second stab at trying to spell it right?
An illiterate racist...seems those two characteristics go together.
People like this make me want to start screaming at the top of my lungs! A complete idiot!
I want to go kick that idiot in the nuts.
Hard.
Racist and dumb. I think the two go together.
Disgusting and pitiful.
And not surprisingly, he misspelled the N word to boot. What a jackass.
