Sarah Soaks the Teabaggers in Tempe

The Sarah Palin Traveling Circus, Book Tour, and general all-around fleecing of the gullible public, rolled into Tempe, Arizona on Tuesday, where the Quitter's supporters started lining up the day before to get a chance to meet her. There are couple of things to listen for in this clip from Fox 10 in Phoenix, aside from the incredible comments about how "smart" she is and how "she's one of us." First, as the camera pans down the line of Sarah supporters, keep in mind this remark by the anchor, which occurs later:

"It's pretty much a cross-section of all demographics and ages."

Then the reporter saying:

"No pictures. She'll have a professional photographer here and he'll take your picture and you can go to her web site and buy the picture." More on that later:

About that web site where photos can be purchased.

Artemus sent me a great link today to an article by a New Zealand journalist who reviewed Palin's book. If I were at home, I'd go find it and link it here.
In other words.....everyone around the world sees what a total and complete idiot she is. Except for the ones here in the U.S who can't see it.

Don't be too hard on the journalist, demographics is an awfully big word. If they went to the same schools as palin then I would guess they only got up to words with three syllables.

And speaking of demographics, the Grand Rapids census breaks down their ethnicity as approximately 62% White, 20%, Black, 13% Hispanic, and 2% Asian.

And just because I'm a masochistic insomniac, I went to the photographer's website and scanned through all 1512 photos of the Grand Rapids Palin book signing. Not one single sighting of a Black or Asian or dark skinned Hispanic (mayhaps Palin has underground appeal to camouflaged light skinned Hispanics?). A big goose egg is a "cross section of all demographics"?

You would think that the "some of my best friends are ___________" crowd could have dragged one or two minorities over there out of loyalty to their heartfelt "friendship". Maybe it was the lighting in the bookstore that washed out all color and texture?

But all was not lost. There was one woman looking quite stylish in a KKK white full length hoodie "jacket". I kid you not. Since she was indoors and didn't have the hoodie top on, I couldn't tell if there were any eyeholes cut into it for ease of navigation.

ROFLMAO!
So true!

Well, there are plenty of stupid folks who will shell out their hard earned money to have their picture with Sarah. They will hang it on their walls in a nice frame next to the spoon collection and pretend they are someone important. They will proclaim they are true Americans who fought Obama and the evils of Socialism Sarah style, etc, etc.. Hah, this is the kind of junk you find at garage sales in about a year or two. You can pick it up for about a dollar or even less.

For a moment there, I thought maybe Sarah Palin had gone all nutty-crunchy on us, what with the tempeh and all. But no, she did something completely predictable, instead. You gotta hand it to her - she certainly knows how to support her Neiman Marcus and Barney's habits on her quitter's income, at least.

All kinds of white people, according to my wife Italians are actually a separate demographic in heart research so I would not be welcome.

Looks like your first guess was right. The photographer's web site says "Photo opportunity brought to you by SarahPac" and a link there. http://www.shealahcraighead.com/

The 5x7 for $15.99 is pretty reasonable. I once paid $10.00 for an autographed photo of Gary Puckett.

But $35.99 for the 11x14......that's preposterous.

OTOH, could be a good return on investment in say, 200-300 years.

I'd bet that part of the high price is due to the photographer likely having to sign away copyright to the photos. There's no way that Camp Palin would allow the shooter to keep unfettered right to The Quitter's image. When a photographer know s/he is going to lose ownership like that they typically compensate by upping the price point.

My guess: Either Palin is getting a cut or the shooter is losing copyright.

Good lord, what a bunch of rubes ! My favorite quote was from the lady in the Notre Dame sweatshirt: "It's very easy reading". No shit ? Of course it is ! I'm just amazed that it doesn't come with pictures to color, or better yet pop-ups, like the dinosaur books I had when I was 4.

I'm thinking that Palin running for president could offer up the most entertaining moment in American politics since Ross Perot.

Now think about it......if she pulls say 40% away from the 21% that claim to be republicans, well, I'm not sure about the math here....that's .4 times Pi (3.14159) times .21 of 280 million, minus the illegals who can't vote (that's 12 million +/-) and less kids, add in Louisiana................I'll have to get back to you on this.

"I see white people" Not that there's anything wrong with that, Some of my best family members are white. :O)

She ought to pal up with Joel Osteen. Both could learn something from the other about how to get the very last dollar out of someone else's pocket. What a sleaze bag she is.

What do I want for Christmas, Santa? A promise from (ex)Governor Sarah Quitter Palin that she definitely plans to run for president.

These people need to realize that skunks do what skunks do. And when they do it....it smells.
Skunk Palin. But hell, it makes sense now. Skunks AND quitters are identified by their white stripe. Yep....sounds like Bible Spice!

Talk about "cashing in --- on your celebrity".

Why would she run for office? She can make a lot more money --- fleecing her fellow citizens.

You and P.T. are --- on the mark.
