In my opinion, there's no bigotry worse than bigotry cloaked in religion. More dangerous than the guys in the hoods and sheets are the snakes in 3-piece suits who stand behind pulpits claiming to be followers of Christ while spewing hate for their fellow man. Here is the latest in what is getting to be an increasingly long line of "pastors" who fit that description, Grant Swank, of the New Hope Church in Windham, Maine. "Sarah Palin's deity is the God of the Bible. Her personal Savior is Jesus Christ. Her holy writ is the infallible, inerrant Bible. Her hope for eternity is heaven as described in the Word of God. Her hope for the present is God's will activated in her dedication.
Barack Hussein Obama's deity is the god of the Koran -- Allah. His personal savior is Allah, though he professes to be a Protestant via his membership in the theologically liberal United Church of Christ (Congregational / UCC). That would make him out to be a witness to Jesus Christ; of course, that is bogus, including his testimony that at an altar at Chicago's Trinity UCC he discovered Christ. If it was Christ, it is not the Christ of the New Testament.
Obama's so-called holy writ is the abominable Koran. His hope for eternity is unknown; but if he becomes a suicide bomber for Allah, he will be guaranteed pronto a score of virgins for everlasting. His hope for the present seems to be his reliance upon Islam's Koran furthered by his clandestine support of Islam World Rule via czars and a shadow government given to overthrowing our Republic.
In January 2009, Marxist Muslim's Obama seemed to be riding high on mob hysteriacs seating him proudly in the Oval Office. Recall he told the world, "I won." Countless devotees showed up at his inauguration. He was applauded throughout Congressional halls as the new messiah promising "hope" and "change."

Do a Google search. Seems Pastor Grant doesn't have very nice things to say about Pope Benedict either. Apparently he is doing the work of the devil by preaching peaceful co-existence with Islam.

That's so nice of you to ask. I've got a stent now in my right coronary artery to keep it open. It got clogged with all the tacos I ate from Jack in the Box in high school. But I am OK. I take Plavix and cholestrol lowering drugs so I'll probably live, well, until the other artery clogs up at least.
One more point - what caused the Catholic priests, at the Council of Trent, to delete all of Christ's teachings in which he declared homosexuality to be immoral? You'd have thought the good padres would have realized that might be an issue for some people later on. Apparently the priests weren't very good visionaries.
I'm certainly no expert in theology, but I am aware of something called the Council of Trent (1546), a meeting in which a bunch of Catholic priests decided which books of the bible were holy and which were not. Fact of the matter is that several texts didn't make it into the can, so to speak. How did man (or a few men, to be precise) determine which man-made books god actually meant to be taken literally as his word? And did they use the original Greek or the Latin? And which version of either? There were lots and lots laying around. Me, I view it is inspirational, even poetic. But it is still a recording of mythology.

I always get a kick out of the "the bible is inerrant, infallible" crowd. It shows just how narrow minded they are. Man wrote the bible. Man is fallible. Ergo- the bible is neither inerrant or infallible.

Doing a little Google searching, it appears the said "New Hope Church" in Windham, Maine is about as illusory as the knowledge of political science in Pastor Grant's little brain. No Google map, no phone number, no listing among the few churches known to exist in that burgh. Methinks it is all an invention in the mind of a very sick right wing whack job.
I am in empathy with your feelings pertaining to charlatans like this bird but let me encourage you to separate out the messenger from the message as they are not always compatible regardless of the religion.
